Salesforce Report Builder Enhancements are a great addition to Salesforce Summer ’11
You can now select Multiple Fields to add, remove, or reorder when building or customizing your report. No more one-at-a-time selections!
Just use CTRL or Command to select your fields and drag them where you want them. They will appear in the report when adding in the order selected.
Tip: For tabular or summary reports, turn off the “Show Details” when you add multiple summarizable fields and the Summarize window automatically pops up so you can select the summarize option for each field in one screen
You can now continue to build or customize your report while the preview loads in the background. Preview Loading continues in the background populating columns while you:
* Add, reorder, or remove groupings
* Remove formulas
* Add or remove summary fields
* Add, reorder, or remove fields
This will be a great time saver. No longer will we have to wait until the preview loads to make our next change!
The Filters Pane is now sticky:
This means that when you resize the filters pane in the report builder, it will stay there. No more having to resize it each time you customize the report.
This is applied to each report differently so if you have one report with 2 filters, and another with 7, you can resize each one differently and they will stay there, even when you log out and back in.
