Touch.salesforce.com is one of the most exciting developments from Dreamforce 2011 that will be released in early 2012. It will be a great way to optimize your use of Salesforce.
It is an HTML5 interface for Salesforce that will work on any mobile device, and will instantly modify the interface for the appropriate device type.

- Easy: automatic upgrades, write once and run anywhere
- Open: run on any device
Will what you’ve already created in Salesforce work in touch.salesforce.com?:
- All custom apps and custom objects will be fully supported in touch.salesforce.com
- All reports and dashboards you already use will work in it
The real time integration with Chatter is extremely nice.
Incredibly, touch.salesforce.com will even work off-line. So for example, if you’re accessing touch.salesforce.com on your iPad in your office where you have a WiFi connection and then take your iPad with you to a location without WiFi, you will still have access to your data.
